~Vega~

This here is my girl Vega. She is my first Great Dane and the reason I have fallen in love with these Gentle Giants. I bought Vega when she was only 8 weeks old and she is now 7 years old. Or should I say 7 years young. Even though she is on the older end of a Dane, she is still very playful and shows no signs of being a senior :) Vega is very prissy and thinks she is the queen of the house. She is your typical Dane.... Very laid back and very sweet, yet tends to be a bit of a big baby when she hears loud noises. If it weren't for her I wouldn't be going down the road I am today!
~Cars~

Cars was my first and only boy dog I have ever had.....Cars was my "Happy Accident". I helped whelp him and after hours of struggle he came out not breathing. This was my first time helping a dog whelp her babies and I didn't know much, but I knew I didn't want this puppy to die so I gave him mouth to mouth. After a few minutes I got him breathing. From that day on he was quite attached to me. I didn't plan to keep a pup from his litter, but sometimes fate steps in and I had my first boy. His name is Cars due to the fact that he was born in the car on the way to the vet.
Sadly I had to place him with another family. He was my most gently boy I had ever come across and very laid back. He never had the attitude of a puppy, just a very calm boy.... With that, he had two other females in the house that would fight for attention where he would not. I started to feel like he sat in the background and it killed me. I would try to take him aside and give him the attention he deserved, but the girls would fight their way in and hog it all up :) I finally decided that placing him with a family that could show him the attention he needed would be best for my boy.
He is now 4 years old and very happy with a family with two young boys that love him to death!
I miss him everyday, but as long as Cars is happy, then I am happy :)
~Scout~

Last but not least is Scout. Scout is also 4 years old. I purchased her at the same time I got Cars. They were only 2 weeks apart. Most of the time when you have two females in the home there can be problems. One will want to be alpha and so does the other :) This is not the case in my home at all... Scout is like our little girl that doesn't want to grow up. She is the typical Dane in the way that she is gentle and sweet mannered, yet she seems to get a bit more excited than most Danes I know. She loves to play and her tail is always wagging. There is never a dull moment when Scout is in the room. She thinks she is a lap dog as most Danes do and she thinks she fits everywhere.... Which we all know she doesn't. Of all three of my Danes Scout has the best personality and that is why I have chosen to breed her. She has brought me 2 beautiful litters in the past and just whelped her 3rd and final litter on September 18, 2009. Picture above is the day before she gave birth. She has been bred with the same stud each time and we couldn't be happier with the pups they have brought us. They have all been beautiful blue puppies with great temperaments.
